About REVISIONS
REVISION: A GENDER MEMOIR-IN-ESSAYS traces the lives of three women across three generations of the same family: a curler-wearing Silent Generation grandmother, a countercultural Boomer mother, and a genderqueer millennial daughter.
Through intimate encounters with the body—menstruation, childbirth, illness, and death—the essays travel backward and forward in time, revealing how each woman inherits, resists, and reshapes the meaning of gender. At its heart, the collection asks a timeless question: How do we become ourselves without losing the women who came before us?
